HuffPost Canada shuts down, moderates headlines but hires questionable editor.

HuffPost Canada shuts down.

BuzzFeed, HuffPost’s new owner, officially shut down HuffPost Canada in March 2021.

This action came as a result of the tremendous cuts that the leftist website must make in order to financially survive.   Florida Family Association’s last email report regarding the results of the HuffPost campaign was titled: BuzzFeed lays off 47 employees including 8 managers at HuffPost to stem $20 million deficit.

HuffPost moderates number of and language used in its headlines.

Since BuzzFeed took over HuffPost, Florida Family Association has seen a decrease in the number of headlines attacking conservatives.  Additionally, the language used in headlines that criticize conservatives was toned down from its past typical vitriol.

For it to survive, HuffPost will have to significantly reduce the hate inspiring content that it spewed in the past which Florida Family Association brought to the attention of over 1,400 companies that have since stopped advertising.

HuffPost hiring of new Editor In Chief raises major concerns.

While HuffPost appears to be making some editorial changes to reduce its extreme left vitriol that all could change with the recent hiring of Danielle Belton as Editor In Chief.  Danielle Belton was the Editor In Chief at The Root.

Fox News published an article titledThe Root accused of racism after piece by New York Times contributor declares 'Whiteness is a Pandemic.'  The article reports in part:

In the piece, Root senior editor Damon Young argued that "Whiteness" is a "public health crisis."

"It shortens life expectancies, it pollutes air, it constricts equilibrium, it devastates forests, it melts ice caps, it sparks (and funds) wars, it flattens dialects, it infests consciousnesses, and it kills people—[W]hite people and people who are not [W]hite, my mom included," Young began. "There will be people who die, in 2050, because of white supremacy-induced decisions from 1850."

The New York Times portrays Belton in this way:  Ms. Belton, the editor in chief of Black news and culture site The Root, and a self-described “hard-core nerd about media,” said she would prioritize diversity.

One example of Belton’s prioritization of diversity at The Root may be the very recent piece written by, Damon Young, senior editor at The Root, who argued that "Whiteness" is a "public health crisis."  Belton wrote "It shortens life expectancies, it pollutes air, it constricts equilibrium, it devastates forests, it melts ice caps, it sparks (and funds) wars, it flattens dialects, it infests consciousnesses, and it kills people…”  White supremacy is a virus that, like other viruses, will not die until there are no bodies left for it to infect.  Which means the only way to stop it is to locate it, isolate it, extract it, and kill it. I guess a vaccine could work, too.”  This strongly suggests that white people should be killed just for being white.

Florida Family Association has influenced 1,396 out of 1,414 companies to stop advertising since April 2016 as of December 31, 2020.  The next report for the HuffPost campaign will be prepared as of March 31, 2021.  Florida Family Association will continue to urge companies to stop spending customer money on HuffPost’s leftist vitriol that inspires hate toward Christians, Jews and conservatives.

Thank you for supporting Florida Family Association’s email campaigns.  Your support is making a difference.
