America deserves to know what law enforcement intends to do about Noor Salman’s reported knowledge and involvement in the Pulse Nightclub massacre.  Will she go free or will she be charged?

Omar Mateen killed 49 people and wounded 53 others in a mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida on June 12, 2016.  He was killed in a shootout with the local police.  

Noor Salman, Omar Mateen’s wife, reportedly knew of his plans and was with him when he evaluated attack sites and purchased ammunition.  

NBC News reported on June 15, 2016:

•    “The Orlando gunman's wife feared he was going to attack a gay nightclub overnight Saturday and pleaded with him not to do anything violent — but failed to warn police after he left, NBC News has learned.”
•    Noor apparently had an inkling about her husband's sinister plot after she told the FBI she once drove him to Pulse because he wanted to scope it out.
•    In addition, she said she was with him when he bought ammunition and a holster, several officials familiar with the case said.

People Magazine reported on June 13, 2016:  "Omar Mateen and his wife, Noor Zahi Salman, visited Walt Disney World in April, the source says. Salman told federal authorities on Sunday that her husband had more recently been “scouting Downtown Disney and Pulse [nightclub] for attacks.” 

The Los Angeles times reported on June 15, 2016:  “She has spoken to the FBI, telling investigators that she accompanied Mateen to the Pulse nightclub at least once before the massacre. She also said she drove with him to purchase ammunition, and pleaded with him not to commit the shooting.” 

A U.S. Attorney plans a grand jury to determine charges that may be filed against Noor Salman.

Fox News reported on June 15, 2016: “Federal prosecutors have convened a grand jury to investigate the wife of the Orlando nightclub shooter, seeking to charge her as an accessory to 49 counts of murder and 53 counts of attempted murder as well as with failure to notify law enforcement about the pending terrorist attack and lying to federal agents, a federal law enforcement source confirmed Tuesday to FoxNews.com.  FBI agents have interviewed Omar Mateen's wife, Noor Salman, in the days since Sunday's massacre that killed 49 and wounded 53 more.  A federal law enforcement source additionally told Fox News that Salman knew of her husband's deadly plans and did nothing to stop him.” 

CNN reported on June 16, 2016:  “Federal investigators digging for clues in the Orlando nightclub massacre are zeroing in on Noor Salman, the widow of gunman Omar Mateen.  A U.S. attorney plans to bring evidence before a federal grand jury to determine whether charges will be brought, according to two law enforcement officials.” 

The Los Angeles times reported on June 15, 2016:  “Salman has not been arrested, but if she had knowledge of the plot and failed to alert law enforcement, she could face criminal charges, including the intentional concealing of knowledge of a felony, aiding and abetting a crime, or even conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism, depending on her level of culpability. Federal authorities reportedly convened a grand jury in Florida on Wednesday to help investigate the shooting, and that would be a vehicle for filing federal charges against Salman.”

Noor Salman whereabouts unknown according to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch.  

United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch says she does not know of Noor Salman’s location.  Breitbart reported on June 23, 2016:  “Right now I do not know exactly the answer to that. I believe she was going to travel, but I do not know exactly her location now.”  See Loretta Lynch video. 

Omar Mateen’s father, Seddique Mir Mateen, who supported the Taliban, ran a campaign for president of Afghanistan and made radical anti-LGBT rants, sat directly behind Hillary Clinton during a campaign event in Orlando.

ABC News reported on August 9, 2016:  “Seddique Mir Mateen, the father of the man blamed for the Orlando nightclub massacre, attended Hillary Clinton's campaign rally in Kissimmee, Florida, Monday. He's seen in video sitting in the crowd behind Clinton on stage.”  Video on this article shows Mateen directly behind Hilary Clinton with other Muslims around him. 

Breitbart reported on June 13, 2016:  “Seddique Mir Mateen, the father of Orlando mass murderer Omar Mateen, is a supporter of the Afghan Taliban with his own Youtube program, where he made radical anti-LGBT statements and proclaimed to run a campaign for president of Afghanistan from his Florida home.” 

New York Times publishes interview on November 1, 2016 with Noor Salman titled “Orlando Gunman’s Wife Breaks Silence: ‘I Was Unaware.’”

United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch may not have known (LOL) where Noor Salman was but somehow she was conveniently connected to the New York Times which published a revised version of Salman’s involvement with the Orlando attack and highlighted her alleged status as an abuse victim.  The New York Times reported that Noor Salman claims that “I was unaware” of my husband’s plan to shoot 102 people despite numerous accounts to the contrary from law enforcement reported in June 2016.  Much of the New York Times article was devoted to reporting Noor Salman’s emotional allegations of being abused by Omar Mateen.

Omar Mateen added Noor Salman to his life insurance policy and gave her access to bank accounts just months before the massacre.  

CNN reported on June 16, 2016:  “Sources who told CNN the shooter in recent months apparently had made financial arrangements for his family, such as adding his wife to his life insurance and getting her access to his bank accounts.” 

Adding his wife to his life insurance policy and bank accounts should have clearly demonstrated to Noor Salman the seriousness of his plans to kill many innocent people.

United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s proclamation that she did not know the whereabouts of Noor Salman troubled millions of Americans who have knowledge of the above mentioned news reports regarding her involvement and who desire justice.

If the June 2016 media reports regarding Noor Salman’s involvement are accurate allowing her to go free denies justice in this situation and sends a very harmful public safety message to future would be terrorists and accomplices.

Florida Family Association has inquired with the FBI, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Orange County Sheriff on this issue to no avail.

Florida Family Association has prepared an email for you to send to the FBI, Florida Governor and Commissioner of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.  The email states that America deserves to know what law enforcement intends to do about Noor Salman’s reported knowledge and role in the Pulse Nightclub massacre and asks for a public report.
