Countering the Islamist agenda in America will be a top priority for Florida Family Association in 2013.

Florida Family Association supporters sent more than 9 million emails through our email action center in 2012.  The majority of these emails dealt with Islamist activities in America and the gay agenda targeting children.

With the start of a busy Christmas and New Year’s break next week we wanted to let you know now that we are ready for 2013. 

Florida Family Association will continue to vigorously oppose the Islamist agenda in America by:

• Challenging Corporate America, educational institutions and news media through email alerts to avoid supporting, sponsoring, hosting or legitimizing Islamists’ activities.
• Supporting legislation that prohibits state courts from accepting provisions of Islamic Sharia law and other international laws or foreign codes which are inconsistent with American laws.    Senator Alan Hays has filed SB 58: Application of Foreign Law in Certain Cases for the 2013 Florida Legislative Session which begins March 5, 2013.  Representative Larry Metz recently informed Florida Family Association that he intends to sponsor the bill in the Florida House of Representatives.
• Developing new media campaigns similar to the billboard which confronted Hillsborough County Schools in Tampa for allowing Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) officials to address students.
• Confronting media that wrongly projects the intentions of Islamists.  Last year, Florida Family Association confronted companies for advertising on TLC’s All-American Muslim show, The New York Times for harsh treatment toward the NYPD for surveillance of the Muslim Students’ Association, The Tampa Tribune for coddling CAIR and WTSP for a one-sided, biased report applauding CAIR.
• Continuing the campaign to educate the public about Best Buy’s support for 2012 annual CAIR convention. 
• Encouraging America’s hoteliers to stop allowing anti-Semitic, pro-Jihad, pro-Sharia Islamist organizations to hold conventions on their properties that advance Caliphate in America.
• Developing more websites like Welcometotampafl.org to educate the public regarding the Islamist agenda in America.  Florida Family Association has also acquired Stopsharialaw.org.
• Continuing the campaign to encourage companies to stop supporting MSNBC’s dishonest, pro-Islamist and anti-Christian news with their advertising dollars.

There will most likely be numerous situations that arise in 2013 which do not fall within one of the above categories.  Florida Family Association will carefully review and respond to those situations if appropriate.  Your eyes and ears can help us to be informed and respond accordingly.  Please forward news items regarding Islamist activities that concern you to davidcaton@floridafamily.org or through the contact button at Floridafamily.org.
