The Council on American Islamic Relations of Arizona (CAIR-AZ) held their “Second Annual Faith in Freedom Banquet” for Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Hilton Phoenix/Mesa - 1011 W. Holmes Ave, Mesa, AZ 85210.
The Hilton Phoenix/Mesa is managed by Quorum Hotels and Resorts which also operates Brown Palace Hotel Denver, CO; Comfort Inn Denver, CO, Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Center Grapevine, TX; Hilton Phoenix/Mesa Phoenix, AZ; Wyndham Tampa Westshore Tampa, FL, Radisson Suites Tucson Tucson, AZ, Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley Fremont, CA
CAIR-AZ.org reports that they planned to have as their headline speaker “Max Blumenthal - Investigative Journalist and Author who has been instrumental in bringing light to and uncovering the sources of funding in the Islamophobia Industry.”
Max Blumenthal is one of the top, if not the top, Islamophobe propagandists in America. Blumenthal:
-
Wrote an extensive report which blamed Steve Klein’s “Innocence of Muslims” video for the deaths of American diplomats in Libya. Blumenthal wrote in part: “The US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and three US diplomats were killed in attacks and rioting provoked by an obscure, low-budget anti-Muslim film called “The Innocence of Muslims.”
-
Wrote, among many other diatribes, a thesis called The Great Islamophobic Crusade.
-
Wrote report findings that: “There are definitely less than ten foundations who are at the core of this Islamophobia industry. And what we found in our investigation, in this two-part investigation, is maybe less than five. And there are really less than twenty key Islamophobic figures, and they’ve managed to have a massive impact on American culture, and on Europe, which is having a much harder time assimilating Muslim immigrants partly because they just don’t have an immigrant culture, they don’t have an immigrant tradition like the United States.” In essence Blumenthal DANGEROUSLY diminishes the value of the lives of sincere, patriotic Americans that he so disdainfully name calls Islamophobes.
-
Helped write CAIR’s Islamophobia report that was released on September 19, 2013.
Some of the patriotic Americans who Blumenthal’s Islamophobia report assaults include:
-
Bill O’Reilly
-
Charles Krauthammer
-
Michele Malkin
-
Chuck Norris
-
Tony Perkins
-
Sean Hannity
-
Michael Savage
-
Reverend Franklin Graham
-
And many more found here
How many American patriots did Max Blumenthal malign with his twisted propaganda as the top speaker at the CAIR AZ banquet?
Americans who are concerned about Max Blumenthal’s propaganda and CAIR’s agenda have the First Amendment Right to complain about this event and choose hoteliers who do not give place to the same. Florida Family Association’s online campaigns have influenced the policies of other hoteliers regarding such events.
Florida Family Association has prepared an email for you to send to Quorum officials.

"Those who stay in America should be open to society without melting, keeping Mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam. If you choose to live here, you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam ... Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." Omar Ahmad told a crowded audience of Muslims in 1998 according to a San Ramon Valley Herald news report by Lisa Gardiner.
At the Islamic Association of Palestine’s third annual convention in Chicago in November 1999, Omar Ahmad gave a speech at a youth session praising suicide bombers who “kill themselves for Islam.” “Fighting for freedom, fighting for Islam — that is not suicide. They kill themselves for Islam,” he said. Washington Times.

The Investigative Project on Terrorisom reports in part:
Before helping to launch CAIR, NihadAwad worked as public relations director for the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP) in 1993 and 1994. A 2001 Immigration and Naturalization Service memo documented IAP's support for Hamas and found that the "facts strongly suggest" that IAP was "part of Hamas' propaganda apparatus."
Awad publicly declared "I am in support of the Hamas movement," during a March 1994 symposium at Barry University.

Muslims living in America should not be bound by U.S. law, according to an official of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, who delivered the controversial message to a Muslim crowd in Austin, Texas. “If we are practicing Muslims, we are above the law of the land,” said Mustafa Carroll, executive director of the Dallas-Fort Worth CAIR branch.
