Reckitt Benckiser stops advertising on Al Jazeera America aka CurrentTV.

Florida Family Association launched an email campaign on February 13, 2013 and March 2, 2013 that targeted Reckitt Benckiser because of the many ads that appeared on Al Jazeera America aka Current TV for Airwick, Cepacol, Delsym, Finish, Lysol, Mucinex, Resolve, Scalpicin, Woolite and Rid-x.  This campaign remained at the top of the Floridafamily.org home page until April 10, 2013.

Thousands of Florida Family Association supporters sent emails to Reckitt Benckiser urging them to stop advertising on Al Jazeera America.

Advertisements for all Reckitt Benckiser products stopped airing on March 29, 2013.  

Now that Reckitt Benckiser’s products are no longer appearing on Al Jazeera America every company that has been targeted in an email campaign has stopped advertising on the channel.   NO NEW major mainstream companies have replaced any of the major mainstream advertisers that have pulled off of Al Jazeera America.

Florida Family Association supporters’ emails to advertisers are truly making the difference.

Al Jazeera, the Arabic news cable channel headquartered in the Middle East (Doha, Qatar), purchased the CurrentTV channel which has the potential of reaching millions of viewers in the United States.  Al Jazeera is a mouthpiece for radical Islamists.  Al Jazeera America is the new, tentative name for CurrentTV.
