David Brooks, COO of Ashford Hospitality Trust, said they are revisiting their policy regarding future Islamist extremist conferences at their hotels. 

Florida Family Association released an email alert and online article on May 1, 2012 and May 8, 2012 which reported that the Islamic Society of North America is planning a conference at the Hilton Airport Tampa Westshore on May 11-12, 2012.  The original email alerts posted at the end of this email encouraged people to send emails to Ashford Hospitality Trust which owns Hilton Airport Tampa Westshore.

Islamic Society of North America promotional material indicated that legitimizing Sharia law in America is one of the top issues of this conference.  More details are provided below in the May 8th email alert.

David Brooks, Chief Operating Officer for Ashford Hospitality Trust, informed Florida Family Association via a telephone conversation with David Caton, Florida Family Association Executive Director,  that they are “revisiting policy on allowing these types of conferences in the future but we have a contract for this event which we will likely have to follow through with.”

It would be easy to overlook the one conference in Tampa if Ashford Hospitality Trust prohibited these Islamist anti-freedom conferences from taking place in the future at any of their one hundred thirteen (113) hotels.  The full list of Ashford Hospitality Trust hotels is posted below.

Florida Family Association prepared an email for you to send to officials with Ashford Hospitality Trust (owns Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore) regarding future Islamist extremist events being held at their hotels.  

The hotelier has not been found to have catered to similar organizations since the May 2012 event.

Second alert issued May 8, 2012.

Florida Family Association released an email alert and online article on May 1, 2012 which reported that the Islamic Society of North America is planning a conference at the Hilton Airport Tampa Westshore on May 11-12, 2012.  The original email alert is posted at the end of this email.  

Thousands of concerned citizens sent emails to officials with the hotel owner Ashford Hospitality Trust and franchisor Hilton International to complain about this Islamist event.  

In response to these emails, David Brooks, COO of Ashford Hospitality Trust called Florida Family Association and spoke with David Caton.  Mr. Brooks informed Florida Family Association that they are going to allow the convention to take place.

So David Brooks COO of Ashford Hospitality Trust plans to knowingly allow their property Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore to advance Sharia law in one of America’s most Islamist vulnerable cities. 

Sharia law has top billing at this Islamic Society of North America convention according to the following portions of their email:

•    While many of us have a vague understanding of what shariah means, we find ourselves at a loss to accurately explain its meaning to people of other faiths and to help them understand the many rights and freedoms protected by Islamic law and consistent with the Constitution.  This session will provide these answers and more to help prepare you to respond to misunderstandings about Islamic law.
•    A special youth track for MYNA and MSA will include everything from preparing for and learning the rights and obligations of marriage "Love & Marriage the Halal Way" with Altaf Husain and others to a leadership workshop led by Johari Abdul-Malik and Ahmed Bedier.  

Could it be the Islamic Society of North America is trying to counter Florida Family Association and others’ highly publicized criticism of the school board in Tampa for allowing CAIR Florida (Council on American Islamic Relations) to brainwash students with their “friendly, pre-domination” version of Sharia law?

Perhaps the Islamic Society of North America knows how progressive and friendly Tampa’s mayor, police department and school board are to Islamists.  Florida Family Association’s web site Welcometotampafl.org warns that “Tampa could be one of America’s first Sharia compliant cities.”

Regardless of the reasons for holding this conference in Tampa rest assured that the Islamic Society of North America will not discuss how recent implementation of Sharia law in the Muslim Brotherhood controlled Egypt was a huge step backward for “women” and “human rights” where women are required to be completely covered and herded like camels.  Click here to read more on Egypt at Jihadwatch.org.

Sharia law is hostile to many American policies which protect life and human rights.  Sharia law advocates physical acts of submission toward women (wives, daughters, sisters), polygamy, female body mutilation, pedophilia, marital rape, honor killing and the imprisonment and/or execution of blasphemers, infidels and unbelievers.

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is planning a conference for May 11-12 at the Hilton Tampa Airport.  The ISNA web site states in part “The conference and our speakers will bring their knowledge and expertise to hands on sessions focusing on the important role of American Muslims to build a vibrant and faithful community to promote tolerance and combat discrimination.  A diverse range of topics will be addressed, including the impact of media on the American Muslim community and how to successfully engage with the media to empower our communities.”

ISNA is unindicted co-conspirator in Hamas support trial. "The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is one of three organizations named as unindicted co-conspirators in the 2007 Hamas-support trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF)" according to Investigativeproject.org.  "The society was listed among entities that were part of the Muslim Brotherhood structure in America. In a statement issued during the trial, ISNA said it 'is not now nor has it ever been subject to the control of any other domestic or international organizations including the Muslim Brotherhood.'" 

Congressman King demands ISNA prosecution.  Washington, D.C. (Monday, April 18, 2011) – ­U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, has demanded an explanation from Attorney General Eric Holder as to why he decided not to prosecute the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), its co-founder Omar Ahmad, and other named unindicted co-conspirators in the Hamas terror finance case, United States v. Holy Land Foundation.  The other unindicted co-conspirators include the Islamic Society of North America and the North American Islamic Trust. 
    
ISNA is Radical Muslim organization.  Judicialwatch.org reports:  "The Islamic Society of North America is a radical Muslim organization that owns and runs mosques throughout North America, functioning as an “umbrella organization” and “clearinghouse” to connect all Muslim activities in the United States. Firmly believing in, and supporting, extremist Muslim views, the group places radical leaders within mosques, sometimes replacing current religious leaders with those of a more extreme persuasion. The Islamic Society of North America is connected closely to the Saudi-Wahhabi form of Islam, an extreme version of Islam which teaches that all non-Muslims are enemies and heathens." 

ISNA represents Islamist Extremism.  The Strategy Center published this 82 page report titled “Extremism and the Islamic Society of North America.”

Islamists are fighting to take our free speech rights away while pushing for acceptance of radical public policy and Sharia law.

•    Islamists bombarded the law firm of Kramer Levin in March 2012 with complaints and successfully prevented Robert Spencer of Jihadwatch.org from speaking at a planned event. 
•    Islamists bombarded Amerimar Enterprise in November 2011 with complaints causing the Hutton Hotel to cancel the Preserving Freedom Conference organized by Pamela Geller’s Atlas Shrugs (Stop Islamization of America), Matt Staver’s Liberty Counsel, Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch and Sharia Awareness Action Network for the purpose of educating leaders and citizens from across the country on what they can do to stop the advancement of Sharia law within the United States.

The Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore should give these Islamist activists no more courtesy for them to advance their agenda than Amerimar Enterprise gave freedom loving Americans when the Hutton Hotel cancelled the Preserving Freedom Conference to oppose Sharia law.
