Click here to send your email to urge the 53 Republican Senators to make passage of President Trump’s campaign commitments a priority as the Senate resolves legislative differences with the House version of the budget resolution.
It appears that the US Senate will work with the US House to resolve their differences on the budget resolution called "One Big, Beautiful Bill" during the week of April 7th. Please send your email to the 53 Republican US Senators even if you already sent this email weeks ago. The Senators need a fresher memory of the people who support President Trump's agenda.
The US House of Representatives and US Senate both passed their own versions of a budget resolution referred to as “One Big, Beautiful Bill.” The House and Senate versions of the budget resolution contain some significant differences which must be resolved by the House and Senate.
The House budget resolution passed on a margin of 2 votes. If the Senate makes major changes to the budget resolution it could jeopardize House support with its razor thin majority over Democrats. Republican Senators must keep in mind the razor thin margin that Republicans hold in the US House of Representatives as it resolves the differences between the House and Senate versions of the budget resolution.
There is a lot riding on the legislation that is being planned to codify Donald Trump’s agenda. The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act renewal, border and immigration reform, energy deregulation and increased military spending are crucial.
Republican Senators must make President Trump’s campaign commitments a priority. Failure to pass President Trump’s “One Big, Beautiful Bill” will hurt the economy, national security, millions of American family budgets and the future success of the GOP.
Donald Trump, the top most visible GOP leader, promised income tax cuts for social security benefits, tips and overtime that would help millions of Americans to meet their family budgetary needs especially housing. Millions of Americans, who want and in most cases need one or more of these tax breaks, will be closely watching Republican bills regarding these tax cuts. Republican sponsored legislation excluding tax exemptions for social security benefits, tips and overtime could have dire consequences at the ballot box for the GOP in November 2026.
