Lifelock says no to MyNetworkTV channel's smut special.

The Florida Family Association office monitors numerous television shows and contacts the companies that advertise during them using custom email communication and tracking software.
The MyNetworkTV channel occasionally airs program specials that promote hardcore pornography. In this particular case it was a program called True Hollywood Story Traci Lords. Florida Family Association wrote to all of the companies that advertised during this show which aired at 8 pm on November 14, 2011 on the unrestricted advertiser supported channel MyNetworkTV.
Lifelock responded with the following email to inform Florida Family Association that they would not advertise again during this program:

Dear Mr. Caton,
Thank you for your e-mails regarding LifeLock's commercials. We were certainly surprised to hear our commercial had appeared during objectionable programming. While we support free speech, we would not choose this type of programming for advertising our services. Neither we nor our media agency chose this program and it appears that the network or affiliate may have aired our commercial in the show you described to "make-good" for advertising which had not otherwise run. We have provided instructions to make our partners aware that we do not wish to have our advertising appear in programs such as the one you mentioned in your note.
Sincerely,
Shannon Witte
